Dooley is a rescue working sheepdog from the Blue Cross and was rescued from Northern Ireland. Dooley was originally rescued as a cruelty case and had a lot of baggage when I took him on. It was a huge challenge for me being my first collie and with the huge help from Carol Clarke, Dooley defeated being fearful and now lives life to the full. I started out Flyball with Dooley and although he was never a speed machine he had a good stride, enjoyed it and picked it up fairly quickly. We did a couple of tournaments together but while being indoors he got interfered with and was totally put off. For many months Dooley didn't want to run back down the lane and so I never pushed him as I wanted him to be a happy and stress free dog as he hadn't had the most pleasent up bringing. Three years laters Dooley has come back out and has started to really enjoy Flyball again and doing faultless runs! He has got a little bit quicker and prefers running under the High Flyers banner! Dooley currently runs in High Volume and has become one of the reliable dogs in the team. (yes Dooley being reliable in Flyball!) Already he has got points under the High Flyers badge which I am thrilled about as I never thought he would. Apart from Flyball Dooley likes to do the odd bit of fun agility and just running around the fields and woods enjoying life.

Badger is a smooth coated working sheepdog from Ireland who was rescued by Wiccaweys. Badger was originally my Dads dog as he was going to work him in the Flyball. However it became apparent that Badger wasn't going to be a very easy dog to train and having a new handler to Flyball and a very green and challenging dog to train wasn't the best combination. It was decided that I would handle Badger and it hasn't been an easy ride to say the least. Badger had a real drive for the sport and bags of speed but just seemed to mess around in the ring either chasing the other lane or racing them to their box. However after a lot of work and training Badger now is a cracking Flyball dog with many awards under his belt. He runs in the top team and consistently runs sub 4 times with his best being 3.89 seconds. We are very lucky to have Badger as he is a real asset to the team and gives every leg 110%. Here are a few awards Badger has won, Pairs winner BFA Champs 2008, Apart of the championship winning team BFA Champs 2008, 4th with the team EFC 2009, 2nd with the team BFA Champs 2009. Let's hope for more milestone awards in 2010.

Bryn is a working sheepdog from Anglesey, Wales. Bryn is the latest addition to the gang and has been a great little dog. He is currently doing well in the Flyball training and will make his debut in open early next year. Bryn is a quick learner and eager to please with a nice working drive. He is always on the go and always suited a working home so I am sure he will make a promising Flyball dog and I may even try a bit of agility with him. His litter sister Mist is training with the Bassett Allsorts Flyball Team down in Wiltshire, South West England. Bryn has just been placed into one of our open teams due to him being old enough to compete at our next open tournament. His box still needs a fair bit of work but he has already clocking out some nice times, his current fastest being 4.53sec. I look forward to see how he will progress in the future.
